This kitchen is pretty close to what I've had in mind lately: butcher block counter, farmhouse sink, possibly white cabinets. I've been wondering if it would seem to mishmash to have part wood counters and part white, because I'm not so sure about the wood next to the sink or in food prep areas.

Or something similar to this- I like all the white and I've been thinking aqua / glass colored tiles, but I still want some wood counter in there to warm it up.

I like the white and wood here, and the island is expandable. Nice. And it has the sink again. (Turns out lots of people have the same ideas I do right now- curse you, Ikea, for putting all this into our collective heads!) But it could use a bit of color- even just that aqua glass tile. Plus, imagine vintage mason jar pendant lights (from a previous post) hanging above the island, just to folksy it up a bit.
